School books are a bitch! DX

Are any of you old, senile, semi- illiterate bastrads going back to school? We'll here's a tip for you. I am, and I don't know about you guys, but i'm terrified. When I was registering to go to San Antonio Community College, I totally freaked out when I bombed the reading and math parts of the accuplacer. All my retarded ass can say about that is, I made below a 60 on BOTH, yes, that's right, Scarlet's a total dumbass. XD We'll about a week ago I went to see one of the school's programs for women, the program helps women with children and in wierd situations with lending them the books they need for their classes all semester. So, I went in to try and see if they could help me out come the next semester I am going, hence, Summer I. I walked up to the front desk and ask the fairly short and disgruntled, middle-aged mexican woman, how I might be able to use their resources. " Excuse me, Tell me about the program, i've been out of school for about three years now, and i'm interested in how the program works because I might not be able to afford my books this semester." The woman pauses for a moment, then speaks," You want to borrow the books?" she asked with a mexican accent. I rolled my eyes(like I didn't know what they DID for the students, I wanted to know HOW, and WHAT I needed to provide in order for them to let me borrow the books..), "Yes. And how might I go about finding out such a task?" The woman snuffed, " Do you have Foodstamps? WIC? or Medicade?", "Yes, WIC.", "Then all you need is to bring that proof with you to get the books." I looked at her for a moment. "OOOKAY. I have that information with me now, is it possible that I can get the books TODAY so that I may have them for class when it starts June 8th?" ," Ma'am, you have to wait for the second day of classes before you can come and borrow the books." The woman hands me a sheet. "Here, you need to find out what books you need and with the proof of your WIC, and we can lend you the books on the second day of classes." ," Uh, is it possible for you to look them up? I have my schedule right here, and you have a computer right there, and the back of this office is totally filled with ALL the books of every class in the school, so could you help me out, so that I may turn in the paperwork now, and just come back second day of class to recive my books?" The woman croaked," No. you have to take the form to the school bookstore and ask them to look them up for you, then bring the forms back the second day of class, we open up at 8:00 A.M., and ma'am it's first come first served." With great desire to jump over the table and bitch slap the woman, I thanked her, turned, and left.
